Finger LakesFor the past 30 years, the Finger Lakes Wineries have been evolving and developing world class wines. Known primarily for white varieties, the region has matured and is beginning to offer some light yet wonderfully balanced reds. In addition to the wines, what is great about the Finger Lakes Region is that it is centrally located in the North East United States. The Painted Porch Lakefront Vacation Rental on Cayuga Lake is in the center of it all. The rental house is about a 6 hour drive from anywhere on the East Coast. And within that distance to Pittsburg, Cleveland and a bunch of other spots in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. It's only about 3 hours from Toronto and 5 hours from Montreal.

There are two major wine trails in the area. The Cayuga Wine Trail and the Seneca Wine Trail. Most of these wineries are just off the main road. At certain points on the road there is a winery every quarter mile!

Here is a list of the wineries closest to the cottage, with links to each of their websites. Click on the title to see it on  the map & click on the Website to see the actual website in a separate window.
